UWS BASE

U.W.S. Base is an intelligent system that goes beyond the mere concept of organization, placing the bicycle at the center it deserves. The flexible mounting system is designed for room heights from 220 cm to 300 cm – from the cellar to the garage, and ideally, directly in your living space. The basic construction consists of two round timber halves that are pushed apart in opposite directions and fixed at the respective room height with mounting rods. After fine-tuning with threaded screws, which are used to firmly brace the U.W.S. Base against the ceiling and floor, the installation is complete.

The foundation for Urban Wood Systems is the enthusiasm for cycling as something both everyday and extraordinary. With precisely this enthusiasm, photographer and passionate road cyclist Jürgen Grünwald approached the design studio March Gut to jointly realize a vision: a new approach to the prevailing idea of how to store a bicycle.
