UWS BASE

UWS Base is an intelligent system that goes beyond the pure organizational concept and puts the bike in the center it deserves. The flexible assembly is designed for room heights of 220 cm to 300 cm - from the basement to the garage and, best of all, directly in the apartment. The basic construction consists of two round wooden halves that are pushed apart in opposite directions and fixed to the respective room height with support rods. After fine adjustment with threaded screws, with which the UWS Base must be firmly spread to the ceiling and floor, the assembly is complete.

The foundation for the founding of Urban Wood Systems is the enthusiasm for cycling as something that is everyday but also special. It was precisely this enthusiasm that the photographer and passionate racing cyclist Jürgen Grünwald approached the design studio March Gut to implement a vision together: a new approach to the prevailing idea of ​​how to store a bike. Including clothing. And inside the home. This motivated the product designers and advocates of alternative means of transport in the city twice over. The result after two years of development: UWS Base.
